Storage Heating Tips

Heating your home and getting the most from your storage heating system.
Using storage heaters, make sure you manage the heater controls correctly to give you more heat in the evening.
There are two control knobs on the standard storage heater. One is the input which controls how much heat will be stored.
The second control knob is the boost or output control. It is this knob that controls the release of heat from the heater.
Turn this down or off when going out or when going to bed. The heater will still radiate some heat but will save more usable heat for when you need it. When you reoccupy the room, you can turn the boost up and enjoy the heat that you saved. After all, you wouldn’t dream of leaving an electric fire on when you go out or go to bed.
